With a little over 10 years of experience Colin Poidevin has a keen sense for saltwater fishing but was no stranger to freshwater fishing. Colin understands the basics of spinning rods and casting rods but has no experience with the other types of fishing rods. His most memorable moment was fishing with his family in Monroe in the Florida Keys where he caught mahi mahi.
With 78 years of fishing experience Ron Poidevin specialized in salter water fishing but also enjoyed freshwater and fly fishing. Ron moved from Maine to Florida when he was just ten years old. From then he lived in a houseboat where he picked up saltwater fishing for redfish, snook and mackerel. Throughout his life Ron owned multiple fishing boats and a sailboat. He had a natural affinity for the ocean and spent many years on the water. His most memorable moment was catching a trophy tarpon in Tampa Bay Florida. Casting rods were his favorite type of fishing rod. While visiting a friend in Colorado he learned how to fly fish. In the 80’s he lived on a lake and spent many hours bass fishing. In his later years Ron enjoyed fishing the intercoastal waterway of South Texas with his family.
With 54 years of experience Darren Poidevin specializes in saltwater bay fishing. Darren has fished in many locations such as, Florida Keys, Tampa Bay, Gulf of Mexico off the coast of both Texas and Florida, The Thousand Islands in Florida, and Boca Grande Pass. The many species of fish Darren has caught includes snook, mahi mahi, Spanish mackerel, trout, red and black drum. and red Snapper. Darren has also sport fished for barracuda. His most memorable moment was spending time fishing with his sons and father in the Texas intercoastal waterways. He has used many different kinds of rods such as fly rods, spinning rods, casting rods and trolling rods. His favorite rod was a custom-made casting rod that he got in Miami while attending Florida International University.
